Attendance & engagement webinar
Addressing attendance and engagement: adaptations in a post-Covid world
As the world adapts to a post-Covid era, the educational sector faces unique challenges. Many students, having endured nearly 12 months of disrupted education, hold a transformed view of how learning should be delivered. Coupled with rapid global changes and a cost-of-living crisis, traditional full-time study is becoming increasingly out of reach for many.
Recent reports from THE and the Guardian highlight a troubling trend: in-person attendance has plummeted, leading to diminished student motivation, enjoyment, and success.
Key Discussion Points:
Current Trends and Challenges: Understanding the impact of post-Covid changes on student attendance and engagement.
Effective Strategies: Exploring what methods have been successful in re-engaging students and which have not.
Balance in Support: Where is the line between appropriate support, structure and direction versus handholding, and has the line or should the line be moved?
Impactful Changes: Identifying small yet significant adjustments that can make a big difference in the academic experience.
This webinar brings together a panel from across the UK, Ireland and Europe to give a range of perspectives. What unites them all is the success they have had in tweaking the way they run their course using technology as an enabler. We hope that you will come away from the webinar with some fresh thought-starters on how you could do something similar.
