McGraw Hill Statement on the European Accessibility Act (EAA)

Our commitment to accessibility and the EAA
At McGraw Hill, we're committed to unlocking the potential of all learners. We believe that the best learning materials should be accessible to students of all abilities and are building an inclusive culture that considers the needs of every learner from the outset.
We are working towards meeting the requirements set out in the European Accessibility Act which will officially be in force in June 2025. This legislation requires certain everyday products and services such as eBooks, e-commerce sites and mobile apps to be made accessible for individuals with disabilities.

Our approach to meeting the EAA
At McGraw Hill, we're committed to unlocking the potential of all learners. We believe that the best learning materials should be accessible to students of all abilities and are building an inclusive culture that considers the needs of every learner from the outset.
We are working towards meeting the requirements set out in the European Accessibility Act which will officially be in force in June 2025. This legislation requires certain everyday products and services such as eBooks, e-commerce sites and mobile apps to be made accessible for individuals with disabilities.
Our current commitment is to ensure that any future eBook or service we deliver, across all regions which are EU Member States, meets the requirements of the EAA, as well as best practice standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549.
Please note we will not make all of our back catalogue titles accessible by default, as the cost of remediation would outweigh the revenue of selling many older titles.
To be transparent with our customers, we will tag each of our eBooks with information as to their level of accessibility so that individuals and institutions can make informed decisions at the point of purchase.
Adapting your experience to your needs
Whilst we have invested in making this website and many of our products usable ‘as is’, many people are likely to get the most accessible experience by customising their computer or device to suit their individual needs.
If that sounds like it would be useful to you, you might consider visiting : My Computer My Way to read about how these customisations (achieved by using accessibility features already on your computer, smartphone or tablet, or through installing assistive technologies) might suit you.

This site’s accessibility
Through independent expert accessibility testing of our site and services, using representative assistive technologies used by our users, our ecommerce sites conform to WCAG 2.2 AA.
