Permission Requests - American Titles
 
The following notes are provided in order to help guide you with your permissions request. If your request does not fit either the photocopying or reprint models, or if you have any other queries, please contact us at [email protected], or contact:

Before submitting a permission request please ensure that the material you wish to reproduce belongs to McGraw Hill Education UK or Open University Press and is not credited to another source. If the latter, there will be a credit line in the acknowledgement pages, footnotes, captions, or lists of figures and tables. 

If the material is credited to another source, you should direct your request to that other party and not to McGraw Hill Education UK/Open University Press. 

To request permission to use material from McGraw Hill Education UK or Open University Press titles, select one of the following forms below

For permission to reuse material from a McGraw Hill Education or Open University Press product, in print or electronic format, please fill out the Republication or Electronic Publication Form.

For College/University instructors seeking permission to post supplementary instructor resources from McGraw Hill Education or Open University Press products on password protected course sites, please fil out the Electronic Educational Use Form.

To request files in an accessible format, please contact RNIB Bookshare with your request. If your requested title is unavailable, please fill out the Alternate File Format Request Form.  

Electronic Access for Visually Impaired Students 

For requests to photocopy material in the UK, please visit the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA). For those outside of the UK, please contact the Permissions Dept via email at: [email protected] or your territory’s equivalent of the CLA. 

Photocopying for Educational Use 

Written requests for permission may be submitted to the address above and should include the following information:

Permission requests to photocopy material 

  • author and title of the book 
  • edition number 
  • copyright year 
  • exact material, including page numbers, for which permission is requested 
  • number of copies 
  • purpose of reproduction 
  • to whom material will be distributed

Permission requests to republish material in another work 

  • author and title of the book 
  • edition number 
  • copyright year 
  • exact material, including page numbers, for which permission is requested 
  • author and title of the work in which the material will appear 
  • publisher and publication date of the work in which the material will appear 
  • format/media of the new work 
  • print run of the new work 
  • territory and languages in which the new work will be distributed 

Please allow sufficient time when requesting permission. Please note that permissions requests submitted without page numbers will not be processed.
