Dr Helen Aveyard, Principal Lecturer, Oxford Brookes University Helen Aveyard is Principal Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and experienced supervisor and examiner at MSc and PhD level study. Helen is author of 'Doing a literature review in health and social care' and co-author of 'A postgraduate's guide to doing a literature review'.

Professor Sheila Payne, Emeritus Chair in Palliative Care, Lancaster University Professor Sheila Payne is a health psychologist with a background in nursing. She holds an Emeritus Chair in Palliative Care at the International Observatory on End of Life Care at Lancaster University. She has supervised over 35 PhD students and been appointed an external examiner for more than 60 PhDs. |
Professor Nancy Preston, Professor of Supportive and Palliative Care, Lancaster University Professor Nancy Preston has a background in nursing and is a Professor of Supportive and Palliative Care. She is an experienced PhD supervisor, teaches a module for Post Graduate Students on Literature reviews and has published over 30 reviews. |

Maddy French, PhD student, Research Associate, Lancaster University Maddy French has recently been awarded a PhD in Health Research at Lancaster University and has a Masters in Public Health from the University of York. As a postgraduate student, she conducted a number of qualitative and mixed methods literature reviews, including a narrative synthesis on socioeconomic position and access to hospice care.
