Webinar - The Ideal Student: Virtual Book Launch
We hosted a book launch: The Ideal Student by Billy Wong and Tiffany Chiu. How is the ideal student imagined and envisioned? This webinar will introduce the concept of the ‘ideal student’ and provide an overview of new book, The Ideal Student: Deconstructing Expectations in Higher Education, which draws on a 2-year study funded by the British Academy. The authors, Billy Wong and Tiffany Chiu, unpack the conceptual and empirical potentials of the ‘ideal student’ and argue that being ideal does not mean being perfect or the best, but simply the desirable and idealistic characteristics.
