About the authors:

Manfusa Shams

Dr Manfusa Shams (SFHEA) is a Chartered and Coaching Psychologist, Consulting Editor of the Coaching Psychologist (BPS), and an editorial board member of the International Coaching Psychology Review (BPS). She is currently teaching at the Open University and University of Reading, UK.

Helen Smith is Faculty Head of Coaching and Mentoring in the Department of People and Performance at Manchester Metropolitan University. UK. Helen previously served as a Board Member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) UK for over two years and is a founding member of The Greater Manchester Coaching Hub (GMCH).

Tony Wall

Tony Wall is Professor at Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University, UK and holds visiting roles in Sweden and Vietnam. Tony has published 200+ works, including global policy reports for EMCC Global. He has received numerous accolades including the Advance-HE National Teaching Fellowship and Santander International Research Excellence Awards.

Series Editor: Dr Manfusa Shams

The Coaching Psychology for Professional Practice series aims to offer a shared learning platform for coaching psychologists and practitioners to contribute to critical coaching practice-related issues, evidence-based practice, and applications to advance effective practice with an appropriate ethical consideration. The remit of the series extends to a wide range of disciplines, services and service users (human development, education, health, public services, employment and businesses, global economy, international relations, ecology and climate change). The goal of the series is thus far-reaching to inform, educate and popularise the positive outcomes of the coaching psychology application to change, maintain and improve maximum potentials of individuals and groups across the globe. 

The content of each book in this series will be underpinned by relevant theories and models, with a focus on ‘application and practice’.
