Management

McGraw Hill offers world-class print and digital learning solutions to support and enhance your teaching and unlock the potential of every learner.

Our market-leading titles in Management, written by prominent authors such as Hill, Schilling, Kiniki & Williams, Bateman & Konopaske, Jones & George, Janes, Hartman, Baldwin, Rothaermel and Noe, span the breadth of course topics typically covered in management courses, with a range of depth coverage also to suit the needs of different modules and specialisms.

Over the past decade we've been adding to our traditional textbook offering with our online learning platform Connect® which houses a wide range of tools and resources to embed and enhance learning. In an increasingly globalised, technology enabled workforce, we partner with institutions to provide students with the foundation for productive lifelong careers - to help them prepare graduates who are workforce ready and future fit.

Discover Connect for Management

Connect is McGraw Hill's course management and adaptive learning platform integrating ready-made course content with assessment and tools that integrates seamlessly with your own LMS.

As an instructor, Connect for Management is an end-to-end solution for your course. Connect provides you with the ability to assign homework and online assessments whilst giving you access to detailed student analytics and progress reports.

Through a variety of interactive activities and multi-media resources, students embed and revise their learning, testing their knowledge and receiving feedback to help them study smarter. In addition, a range of simulation activities allows students to apply the theory they have learned in class in a range of realistic scenarios, helping them prepare for their next steps in Management.

Whether classes are in person, online or blended, Connect helps students maximise their study time and steers them on the road to success. Connect is available to add-on to nearly all of our textbooks in this discipline.

The Smartbook 2.0® tool integrated within Connect® maximises learning by helping students study more efficiently, highlighting the most important points in the chapter, asking verification questions and indicating additional resources.

SmartBook is an adaptive learning tool integrated within Connect that created a personalised learning path based on a student's single strengths and weaknesses. It identifies gaps in knowledge and focuses on areas needing reinforcement, helping students to study smarter, instead of harder. SmartBook's insightful report features highlight student progress or topic areas that need more work, assisting instructors in shaping their teaching strategies

We have a wide range of click and drag, matching and grouping exercises that help students connect theory to practice. These exercises ask them to pair terms to definitions, order process steps or categorise examples depending on the concept they represent.

These student-focused videos take students through multiple concepts in an innovative and engaging way. iSeeIt! Animated Videos are the perfect pre-class assignment to introduce students to key topics and can be used during class to launch a topic, or after class within assessments.

Connect Reports provide customisable analytics on student performance, outcomes, highlight any at-risk students and much more. These reports easily integrate with LMS gradebooks, ensuring you save time and gain more specific student insights.

Our self-assessments are research-based and are designed to promote self-reflection, awareness and professional as well as personal development. Students are able to better interpret their scores through structured feedback.

Our selection of written and video cases encourage students to analyse concepts as they may appear in real-life scenarios. The cases inspire students to think critically, with stimulating questions that test their abiity to apply theory to practice and build their career development skills.

These videos give students the ability to sit in the manager's hot seat, applying their critical thinking skills and theories to real-life managerial scenarios. As acting manager, students must answer multiple choice questions and make decisions on the spot through this exercise.

Application-Based Activities can be assigned and are auto-graded, allowing students to practice their problem solving skills and apply their knowledge to relevant scenarios. As students make their way from foundational concepts to more complex scenarios, they will see the consequences of their choices and receive feedback on how management theory informs their decision-making process.

These online simulations help students make business decisions in competitive situations, mirroring the real-life business environment. How Connect and SmartBook are helping to create the optimal learning environment

Prepared in Partnership with Professor Jayaraman from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) in India, this paper looks at the impact completed assignments within Connect has on students and their course success. Analysis of final assessment results in 2018 and 2019 showed:

  • Where there is a higher percentage of completed assignments within Connect, then the final course grade is higher
  • Those who scored the highest grades had, on average, completed 80% of their Connect assignments.
