Here comes Gen Alpha: Purposeful and impactful use of technology in higher education.
Today’s students were practically born with a smartphone in hand, and we know it is a challenge to keep them engaged and motivated with their studies in a world of distractions. Meeting them in their technological comfort zone is one way of doing that, but impactful use of technology is more than just leaping on the latest fad or trend to gain students’ attention; it goes much deeper. In this session, you will hear how McGraw Hill works in partnership with instructors to enact a digital transformation that strikes to the heart of the challenges of teaching modern cohorts. Discover how, with some small structural adjustments, you can:
- Meaningfully embed asynchronous activity that offers a broad supportive structure while simultaneously helping students to take responsibility for their learning
- Gain insightful data and reporting through easy-to-manage formative assessment touchpoints to underpin student success, satisfaction and retention
- Reintroduce reading to the equation and develop positive study habits and routines
- Break free from the constraints of static content to develop impactful approaches geared to your students
